Re: Run Sighthound Without Internet

To be clear the system is *very* lenient. Connectivity is a requirement as locally cached licenses do need to be periodically refreshed, but at the current time you could be offline for a month or three and you would not experience any issues.

Re: Arm/disarm all cameras by calling REST service?

We do have plans to implement public and published REST APIs down the road, though this will not be in the near term. In the meantime you can certainly hack at the application as some other users have done, though this is not officially supported.

Re: Android App is not working on Lollipop (5.0.1)

Hi all, It seems that this is not a general Lollipop issue but instead that LG has replaced the default media player / codec library with their own. It reports to the server as "Player/LG Player 1.0 for Android 5.0.1 (stagefright alternative)". It's quite unfortunate that it seems to be br...

Re: Filtering clips

Hi Antknight, The schedule currently only applies to when a rule's responses will be active. This can be used to control when cameras themselves are on and being monitored, as if not rules with responses are currently scheduled Sighthound Video will not connect to that camera. When searching only th...

Re: license question

Hi Barry,

You can right click the Sighthound logo in the license dialog and select "Disconnect my account". You'll then be prompted to log in again with another account.

Best,

Re: Basic License Question

Hi tigerdan,

You can certainly use another basic license on a different computer. The only restriction is that only one license can be active on a single machine at a time, so two basic licenses cannot be joined to run four cameras on the same computer.

Re: Run a .bat file

Hi Critters, You'll need to invoke cmd.exe first to be the interpreter for your .bat script, something like the following should work: cmd.exe /k start C:\Users\Katie\Desktop\lights.bat More details can be found under "Run the Command" in the rule editor section of the reference guide .

Re: Feedback from a new "pro" customer

Hi Critters, Thanks for the great feedback. The items on your list are pain points for us as well and things we'd like to improve in the future. Though very little of note to most people the main change in 2.5 was a rewrite and substantial work on our video libraries, and this will continue in the f...

Re: autostart with windows startup

Hi Dany-dm,

As you've no doubt seen by running the trial this is not a part of the current release. It is a high priority for us in an upcoming version, with the post Devin linked being an interim workaround.

Best,
