Hi juanmartos,

For directions on running Sighthound automatically at startup, please see this article: https://www.sighthound.com/support/runn ... r-computer. Sighthound is not yet able to run as a service so it is necessary for the Windows user to be logged in to startup and run.

Regards,

Hi,
Is this problem solved?
because for me this is a serious lack, that does not make me buy the product at the end of the trial period.

Hi Dany-dm,

As you've no doubt seen by running the trial this is not a part of the current release. It is a high priority for us in an upcoming version, with the post Devin linked being an interim workaround.

Best,

can you give me an idea of when the new version will be released?

If I am not mistaken,
if I make a shortcut on the autostart menu, the program starts but everyone sees the home screen with no way to even start it minimized to icon.

We do not have a set release date as we want to test and fix as much as we can before publicly releasing it.

Without the run as a service feature there currently isn't a way to have Sighthound start minimized at startup.

I know this post is a little old but "this is what i do" may help someone
first I created a windows account that holds all my camera shortcuts security software ect on the desktop.
then i added sighthound to auto start instructions here
https://www.sighthound.com/support/runn ... r-computer
then i set windows so that the limited account starts up automatically
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/mag ... 72306.aspx
for what ever reason the pc reboots i know sighthound will start up and be in operation without any assistance from me. obviously this starts windows and logs in so its not my primary account and switching users in windows is to simple not to use the option. its a slight security risk having it log in and open on its own.
as for the starting minimized i looked into that a while back and it seems some addon apps/scripts may drop it to systray but I have not tried them or tested them

*** remember auto log in can be a security risk I don't have that problem but you may***
