Re: Sighthound 3.0

@Betelgeuse, as long as your support and upgrades subscription is active 3.0 will indeed work with your current license. If it is has expired you would need to renew it. You can check this from inside the app at "Help->Show License Information..." or on the web at https://www.sighthound.co...

Re: New version issues

Hi Hayder, Are you referring to new video, or are you having trouble locating clips that were already recorded in the app? You can always install any version of the software you'd like. Old versions can be downloaded at https://www.sighthound.com/account/#/sighthound-video by clicking the "Look...

Re: runtime error in windows

Hi cherowley, I just checked our ticket system and I don't believe we ever saw a bug report come in. A "Runtime Error" is a bit of a catchall message from Windows, so we may or may not know about and have a fix for your particular issue. If you can submit a bug report from "Help->Repo...

Re: Vitamin D issues

Hi Scott,

The last release of Vitamin D Video was approximately 5 years ago, it is no longer maintained or supported. You should certainly use Sighthound Video instead where possible.

Best,

Re: Email messages

Hi Mark, It isn't possible to do either of these at the moment, but they may make it in to future versions, thanks for the feature requests. You're likely already aware but I'll mention just in case - you can send to multiple email addresses by separating them with commas, though these will all be o...

Re: Random disconnect failures (Foscam FI8905W)

We don't handle any temporary drops as a permanent disconnect, we strive to reconnect immediately, and perpetually attempt to reconnect albeit at a longer pause to save resources if the connection attempts are perpetually failing (falling back to attempting to reconnect 1/minute in the longest case)...

Re: Combine activity into single clip?

Hi wetsnapper, What type of rule are you using to search? Are you seeing different results between the desktop and mobile app? As long as a rule is consistently firing (objects in a region for example) there will be a single corresponding clip. If there is a break however, even short (object A leave...

Re: Large (70+) installation?

Hi Gene, 20 camera systems are certainly within the realm of possibility if this separation is not an issue. If you have any available systems available I would encourage you to download Sighthound Video and try the free trial to see if it meets your needs. Because it does not yet exist I can't pret...

Re: support for Wansview 532

Hi Roberto, This camera should work with Sighthound Video as long as it exposes a video feed. I can't tell from your answer whether you have successfully connected and the connection has just been unreliable, or if you've never managed to connect. This camera should connect with either the "Wan...

Re: Using Sighthound while connecting to NAS

Hi moo083, Sighthound Video currently only records from live video streams and then manages the data files, it does not import existing videos. Depending on your specific use case one option might be to have Sighthound Video monitor the stream and archive clips matching given rules to a directory on...
