Vitamin D issues

by [email protected] » Sun Nov 22, 2015 4:47 pm

Hi. First time here. I am using Vitamin D Starter Edition 1.4.2 build 6168 at home for one camera but have Sighthound at work. I use both for monitoring and recording IP cameras.

First question: is Vitamin D discontinued/renamed/obsolete and do I need to get Sighthound instead?

Second/main issue: Recordings stop after a few hours unless the user interface is launched. I used to use a macro program to launch and then close it every hour and that worked as a workaround. I no longer use that app so I'm trying to schedule a task through Windows 10 task scheduler.

Third/related: Task scheduler launches a background process but not the interface and it does not fix the problem.

Forth/related: I don't know if I'm supposed to set task scheduler to open Vitamin D.exe or Vitamin D agent.exe. What is the difference? They do the same thing when I double click on them. Regardless, neither solve the problem using task scheduler.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott,

The last release of Vitamin D Video was approximately 5 years ago, it is no longer maintained or supported. You should certainly use Sighthound Video instead where possible.
