Run a .bat file

by Critters » Wed Aug 19, 2015 1:57 am

Is it possible to execute a .bat file in the "run the command" ?

Simply entering the destination of the file flashes a command prompt window for a split second but doesn't execute the bat.

Hi Critters,

You'll need to invoke cmd.exe first to be the interpreter for your .bat script, something like the following should work:

Code: Select all
cmd.exe /k start C:\Users\Katie\Desktop\lights.bat

More details can be found under "Run the Command" in the rule editor section of the reference guide.
