Re: App Issues

Hi Gavin, First step would be to make sure that you can access those pages from the PC running Sighthound Video. If that is working but the "Internal address:" url isn't able to from a phone or PC on the same network then it is likely that a firewall on the Sighthound Video machine is bloc...

Re: Foscam FI9900P

Many Foscams work using manual configuration with "rtsp" as the protocol, "/videoMain" as the stream path, and sometimes 88 as the port rather than the default 554. If those do not work http://jamesfawcett.co.uk/foscam-9900-mjpeg-stream-url/ reports that "http" as proto...

Re: Frustrating false positives on people detection

Steve, Apologies that you have not yet received replies to your emails from Thursday. For person detection, in the images you shared the person leaving the car is wearing all black which blends extremely well with the shadowy driveway. This caused the application to only identify the head as a depar...

Re: How to temporarily STOP push notifications

Your phone's battery won't be drained by having notifications enabled. The application isn't running in the background to receive notifications, push notifications are received by a global service within the operating system regardless of what application they are meant for. This is true for both iO...

Re: Should I buy Sighthound Video?

JB, You're correct that subscriptions can't have a gap when renewed, perhaps "if you hadn't upgraded in 3 years ... you'd be able to upgrade without paying full license cost" was a bit ambiguous. I was attempting to highlight that contrary to how software upgrades typically work there is n...

Re: Do we have a listing for supported cameras with audio?

Anything that lists AAC in it's specs should work, if not we'd consider it a bug and work to fix it. I'm afraid that with the thousands of cameras in the world it's not possible for us to maintain a complete list. We'd like to expand audio support in the future. If you have particular codec requests...

Re: Update process - crashes completely

4.0.2 contained a fix for an auto-update conflict introduced in macOS 10.12. Future updates will install as expected but you'll need to manually install 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 first. You can find the latest installer by visiting https://www.sighthound.com/download

Re: Software install errors

I'm afraid that as Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported by Microsoft we don't officially support these platforms for Sighthound Video either. If 4.0.2 was still able to function under XP it is likely the last release that will be able to do so. If you newly purchased Sighthound Video...

Re: Should I buy Sighthound Video?

@ropedrag - A response was sent on 2/9, the same day your message was received. Can you check your spam folders to see if perhaps our reply wound up there? I see that your reply email is different than the one listed in your signature so it may also have wound up in a less frequently checked account...

Re: Camera Use When Laptop is Asleep

There isn't a way to do this for Sighthound Video or any other application. If the computer is asleep the CPU is turned off and software cannot run so it isn't able to monitor cameras.
