Re: Pixelated video

Hi Jozef, What camera are you using and what settings did you configure it with? If you are using an mpeg stream you could be running into bandwidth issues. I would suggest setting the camera to only stream at 320x240 (since this is all it is being recorded at) and also set it to stream closer to 10...

Re: Video files mysteriously deleted

Thanks for the replies Semper! With regard to the disappearing video files, VDV treats the /archive/... folder as it's private storage, and tries to manage disk space according to your specifications. If it sees files inside that directory that it doesn't have in its database it will remove them. If...

Re: Email Notification Image - Intermittent (OS X Lion)

This sounds quite odd. Can you submit a bug report from inside the application after you expect some emails to have been sent that were never received? This will provide us with some log files that might help indicate what the problem might be.

Re: files disappearing

Hi Martin, VDV does not expect users to be touching files in the archive directory. It has internal algorithms to preserve or remove files to meet the disk space quotas the user specifies in settings. If you would like to back up clips or files you will need to move or copy the file outside of the a...

Re: Agents during hibernation

That certainly isn't the desired behavior. There is a lot of special code to handle states such as sleep/hibernate (it really isn't good when you're recording/parsing video and from one frame to the next suddenly 8 hours have passed). It sounds like when your machine is coming out of hibernate the c...

Re: this video is not valid for streaming to this device

What program is trying to open the video files to play? I'm not sure if different android phones ship with different video players or not, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

Re: Vitamibe D won't start up after previously working

Thanks for the great reply Semper! In addition I would ask if in the task manager there is a "Vitamin D Video" process running, or just "Vitamin D Agent" processes? If there is a Vitamin D Video process, the UI is running, but something might be placing it off screen. It should s...

Re: Local Video Files App & Server Support

Hi blipton, Thanks for the suggestions. With regard to the first, there has been a bit of discussion on that topic here: http://vitamindvideo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=509 as well as the suggested, though certainly not convenient workaround of setting up the local files as a stream and conf...

Re: FTP making laptop hang

Hi kenm, Sorry you're having trouble. I'm not aware of any issues that might cause ftp to freeze. Bandwidth shouldn't be an issue, VDV will simply try to upload as many as it can. (In the tools->FTP status it is possible to see how may uploads are pending and cancel them if they are behind for some ...

Re: Analyzing pre-recorded video

Hi Donone, If you install the program and don't provide a license you will be limited to a single camera at QVGA (320x240) resolution. There are a few other differences between that and the paid versions, please see http://vitamindvideo.com/store/pricing.php for full details. This should give you en...
