Pixelated video

by jobastick » Mon Jul 25, 2011 10:19 am

Hi all,

Fist let me say, that Vitamin D is a great software.
I've got problems with using Vitamin D video. I'm connected to network camera and the video is sometimes pixelated. I've done a test with vieamin D and VLC player side by side and pixelation does not occur in VLC.
Camera has resolution 640x480 and Vitamin D process 320x240 (Starter Edition).
I'll try to upload also exported clip wrong parts.

Is there any reasonable explanation why this pixelation occurs? Thank you for any help.

Jozef

Hi Jozef,

What camera are you using and what settings did you configure it with? If you are using an mpeg stream you could be running into bandwidth issues. I would suggest setting the camera to only stream at 320x240 (since this is all it is being recorded at) and also set it to stream closer to 10fps if that is an option (10fps is all VDV needs).
