Re: Export Clip FPS

Hi Doug,

Vitamin D's tracking algorithms were tuned to work best at 10fps, so no, you are not doing anything wrong. If you'd like to save on a bit of CPU load you can configure your camera stream to only send 10fps and not worry about any decreased tracking recognition accuracy.

Re: Camera resolution 800x600

Hi Doug,

You are correct, there is currently no way for you to set the output to be 800x600. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: VDV & 802.11N wireless questions

Hi jrflash, Unfortunately this isn't a question I can really answer. Theoretically, yes, an 802.11N network could easily support 4 cameras. WiFi is notoriously fickle however, and a lot of factors will influence the sort of performance you actually get. The quality of both the router and the wifi on...

Re: "The application could not be started. Please wait a min

Hi rezlindb, Do the permissions indicate that your other account is not allowed to access the application? If so you should be able to change these when logged in from your administrator account. Where on your hard drive did you place the application? Is it somewhere public like /Applications or is ...

Re: Saving Clips

Hi bbits,

For this sort of scenario I would suggest using the ftp response, it will do what you are trying to achieve. Please see http://www.vitamindinc.com/support/ref_ ... s.html#ftp

Re: How to make VitD work with a D-Link DCS-910

Hi Tahnka, Thanks for letting us know! I'll be sure to add the DCS-910 to the setup wizard. There does seem to currently be a bug with connecting to cameras without specifying a username/password, but Doug has already checked in a fix for this and it will be resolved in our next update. Sorry for an...

Re: Simple features request

Hi gerko511, Thanks for the suggestions. A couple quick comments: ⋅ I assume you've already checked, but just in case I'll mention that many IP cameras natively support timestamping though it can be a bit tough to find where to enable it. ⋅ With regard to the time line video expo...

Re: Saving Clips

Hi bbits, We don't intend for people to interact directly with the video files, so things like their organization and length might be a bit confusing. Navigating through the application is much quicker (lots of great keyboard shortcuts and other goodies on top of the obvious search filters). If you ...

Re: How to prevent my cat from being a person?

It's a bit hard to give advice without knowing your exact scene setup. It sounds like perhaps the cat is able to get somewhat close to the camera, mounting it at a higher location might help. One reason the clips might trigger when the object seems to be less than the pixel height is that it will tr...

Re: Audio Recording

Hi RDProgrammer and suelotto,

Audio is on our wish list but it is not among our highest priority features. I'm sorry if Vitamin D Video does not support your needs at this time.

Thanks,
