Re: Vitamin d freeze - running PC tools internet security

I'd recommend excluding the Vitamin D processes and directories from all scanning functionality in your security software, not just the firewall component. The storage locations Vitamin D uses by default you might want to exclude can be found here: http://www.vitamindinc.com/support/ref_guide_tips_1...

Re: Where's the mailed photo stored?

Hi Reiniertc, The snapshot sent in emails is never written to disk as a stand alone image file. The relevant video frame is pulled directly from the saved clip and placed in the email buffer. Sorry, I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but thanks for the feedback and we'll take your f...

Re: Problem with manual configuration

Hi frink, The type of links you are providing (http://<ip>/local.html) are unfortunately not what Vitamin D needs. Those are for viewing from a browser, while VDV needs a direct link to the video stream, like most media applications. For instance, if you were to put that link into VLC or quicktime t...

Re: Stuck on "Connecting . . ."

Hi mike,

Sorry you're having troubles. Could you submit a bug report from within the app? This will provide us with some logs that might provide insight into the problem. Be sure to include your email so we can get back to you.

Re: Your databases were found to be corupted and same data.T

This indicates that our database files are being somehow damaged. Some causes could be a hard drive crash, a failing hard drive, or a piece of third party software altering the files. If you are running any sort of file maintenance, antivirus, firewall, etc... software you might try adding exclusion...

Re: Vitamin filling up my C drive.

Hi minigranis, The log files you submitted all look perfectly normal. The text files you found that refer to VDV are in the "sessions" folders, these should be quite small (measured in megabytes, not gigabytes). They are logs from the artificial intelligence portion of VDV, and are safe to...

Re: Vitamin filling up my C drive.

This is definitely not expected/standard behavior. Can you run the app for a while and then submit a bug report from inside the application? Maybe the logs will give some indication of what is going on.

Re: Vitamin filling up my C drive.

Hi minigranis, I apologize for not reading your previous post correctly. Vitamin D Video will store data in the C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Vitamin D Video\ and not ......\Local Settings\Temp as you posted. I honestly have no idea what is creating those mu...

Re: NILOX 16NX2601FI002 compatibility

Hi Michele, In the manual does it list the access method for the motion jpeg stream? If not you might want to contact the manufacturer and ask them for this url, that will enable you to use it with VDV. Some camera manufacturers use the same URLs as others, so there's a small chance going through al...
