Re: Panasonic Camera, Still images to guests

Hi staze, What model cameras are you using? I know that some cameras have multiple streaming URLS. It might be the case that when you make this change it alters the function of stream1 (which VDV is using), leaving stream2 as an option with a URL change in the VDV configuration. The video shown when...

Re: [Help] Video file can not open

Windows media player doesn't ship with very many video codecs. If you download VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) or quicktime player (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/what-is/), either of those should be able to open the files without any trouble.

Hope that helps,

Re: Takes very long to connect to Wansview rtsp camera

Hi Georgfly,

What resolution is your camera streaming at/what resolution are you recording at in VDV? VDV does a bit of buffering and processing before the stream will begin, if you are streaming at a much larger resolution than necessary this can cause a bit of extra delay.

Re: DLink DCS-2121

Hi caffeina,

I'm not sure I understand the problem you are having. Are you saying you can see the preview stream when configuring, but when you exit the wizard the camera doesn't ever connect?

Re: Just a moment...

Hi Col, I am definitely not an NTFS expert, but reading some errata it appears that there can be problems with certain command line operations (simple things like move) and that some behavior with regard to junction points is different across the various versions of windows. I have a windows 7 machi...

Re: MJPEG transmission breaks every minute

Hi JohannesL, That kernel error you posted is unrelated to Vitamin D but does seem to indicate your wifi connection is being dropped. Googling it turned up a lot of very lengthy threads such as https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3190651?start=0&tstart=0 which are full of suggestions. Hopefully...

Re: Mac OS X Lion

Hi pcmac,

In the future we hope to have 'save to folder' as a rule response, which could be used to save clips to your dropbox folder to be synced. In the meantime one workaround is to run FTP software on your machine which points to your dropbox folder and use the existing 'upload to ftp' response.
