Re: Not recognizing objects at night

Hi wodin, In order for the tracking and recognition algorithms to do some smart filtering for things like short flashes of light there must be some buffer in the reporting. The algorithms require a number of frames to "make up their mind" so to speak about what they are seeing, similar to ...

Re: Saving videos to specific folders

Hi JohannesL, The "export clip to folder" response has not yet been integrated into VDV. A current workaround is to run FTP software on your machine which points to your desired folder and use the existing 'upload to ftp' response. This won't support sorting the exported clips into folders...

Re: Vitamin D external functionality?

Hi mdwarner,

Unfortunately adding rules and cameras isn't part of an exposed API at the moment. If you'd like to shoot me a private message detailing more of what you'd like to do I'll see if I have any ideas to help you out.

Re: Panasonic Camera, Still images to guests

Hi again Staze, I was able to check your camera's manual and it indeed supports multiple types of simultaneous streams and also has configurable limits to the number of users who can access each stream at a given time. Even if you bump this number up for a given stream, the manual explicitly says it...

Re: VDV Beta versions

Hi Bigmack48,

The path for windows 7 would be "C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Vitamin D Video\updater.txt". I've added this to the original post, sorry for missing it before!

Re: compatible ip cameras ?

Hi pcmac, If you open the camera setup wizard (Tools->Add Camera...) you can take a look at the list of manufacturers and models we have either tested ourself or users have reported to work. There is a prettier list at http://vitamindvideo.com/cameras.html but I'm afraid I've let it fall a bit out o...

Re: Panasonic Camera, Still images to guests

For the disconnection issue - Are all the users logging in with the same username/password, or are they separate? No idea how the internals of the camera work and if separate accounts might help or not. The camera should be automatically trying to reconnect, so the manual reconnect should never be n...

Re: VDV Beta versions

Re: setting sensitivity for motion

Hi ghochreiter, I'd have to understand your scene a little bit better to give any definitive device, though I can say the free version has all the features of the basic (aside from camera count and resolution) so upgrading won't give you a magic button to hit. Do you have a light on in your driveway...
