The reason that I suggested you not sync your entire vdv directory because you don't want to sync all of the cache and constant file changes, and even if you did your dropbox/google/anything else likely doesn't have enough space and your internet connection likely doesn't have the outgoing bandwidth...

I would suggest trying to set up the camera on your mac again. It is likely that over the course of your changes to the camera the IP address changed? It is also possible that the camera itself has a limit on number of users per stream.
