stops recording when camera off

i had a few problems with my eyespy247 ext+ network camera stopping and needing to be turned off and on but didnt then notice if the vitamin d software stopped recording, it may have done but not sure. eyespy247 recommended using a timer plug once or twice per day to cycle the power on the camera to stop it falling off the network.

however, every few days i make sure the camera is still on which it is so that timer seems to have worked there but when i check vitamin d it has stopped recording all types off alerts even temporary. i have to go into the rules and then save it again and it triggers the recording to start again.

what is causing this and what can i do do to stop the software from failing regularly?

This sounds a bit strange. The next time this happens could you file a bug report from inside the application? This will send us some logs that might help troubleshoot what is going on.
