Re: UI suggestions and other tidbits

Hi b00ze,

Thanks for the suggestions! I did want to let you know that the log files do have a maximum size (offhand I think it's ~5mb each) and will not grow indefinitely.

Re: Video not Found (after i restart PC)

Hi Strangr, I'm not sure exactly what you mean that it doesn't record unless you hit "mode" or "refresh"? Do you mean that the search list doesn't update? Or that video is actually not recording? The latter sounds odd and might explain part of your other problem. While it is poss...

Re: Vitamin eating memory?

Hi JohannesL, This looks absolutely normal for a 2 camera setup. Vitamin D is using about 440mb memory across all of it's processes, of that your cameras are using about ~100 and ~125 each, well within the normal range. If you leave this running for several days or a week and check again these memor...

Re: Ryan or anyone: Camera recommendation for me please

Hi saintjohnny, I imagine you've already read our basic network camera overview here: http://vitamindvideo.com/support/ref_guide_tips_27.html I'm afraid we don't typically suggest specific models, nor is it our expertise (we focus on making useful and useable software for the cameras, something they...
