Re: Notification sound played mutiple times v4.0

Hi Steve, Are you consistently receiving 10 alerts, or was this a one time occurrence, or does the number vary? If you see 10 different clips when searching the 10 alerts would be correct behavior, so the question would be whether the clips are correct or not. If you arrow up and down between the cl...

Re: What's new in Sighthound 4 ?

Hi Ben, Release notes can always be found at https://www.sighthound.com/support/release-notes, I've included the 4.0 notes below. 4.0 is still rolling out, you should see it in your auto-updater soon but can of course always download and install directly from https://www.sighthound.com/account/#/acc...

Re: How do you make audio work on 4.0

For your Foscam, as the audio is PCM it isn't currently expected to be recorded with SV 4.0 and from a quick search it doesn't seem that an AAC setting is available for that model. The Smartcam is interesting that you don't get sound in VLC but do with their custom app. That seems to imply that they...

Re: How do you make audio work on 4.0

Audio should "just work", nothing you need to enable or configure in Sighthound Video. Please check that your cameras support and are configured to send AAC audio. If so and you are still having trouble please send a bug report from "Help->Report a Problem..." and we'll see if an...

Re: Notification sound played mutiple times v4.0

The behavior should be the same as it was in prior versions. Is a single clip generated in the search view for the events you heard multiple sound alerts for, or are there multiple clips for that rule at that time? What rule type do you have the sound alert configured for?

Re: everything has stopped working - verson 4

Hi Rik, what rules/responses did you find you needed to re-create? Were you upgrading from 3.0.2 or an earlier version?

Re: everything has stopped working - verson 4

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with 4.0. Windows 7 shouldn't be a problem, nor have we received any bug reports that match the trouble you mention. If it would be possible for you to zip the logs directory in the Sighthound Video data directory (https://www.sighthound.com/support/where-does-sig...

Re: Getting multiple results back from recognition

Hi Ward, Apologies for the delayed response. The query you posted will return multiple recognition results, one for each face. If you're only getting a single detection only a single face was found. For information on items that can impact detection such as resolution and face orientation please see...

Re: Timestamp option in Version 4.0?

Hi Holmium, Due to many of the architecture changes in Sighthound Video 4.0 timestamps are not burned into the incoming stream itself so this is no longer a setting on the camera's configuration. However, you can still opt for timestamps in all places where you would view or store video and can cont...

Re: Frames per second (fps)

A higher fps likely will not result in a noticeable change in performance of the detection algorithms, it is primarily an aesthetic one. However, boosting the fps from 10 to 30 should result in very minimal CPU change for recording video so I would recommend it.
