Re: Axis video encoder P7214?

Hi Pete, I did some more searching and found that several other Axis encoders use the following at the end of the stream paths: "?camera=1", "?camera=2", etc... Please try adding this to the end of the stream path for each camera as such: "/axis-media/media.amp?camera=X"...

Re: Axis video encoder P7214?

Hi Pete, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues configuring these encoders. I checked with the Axis user manual and found the stream settings needed. In the camera setup please select "Other IP Camera" from the "Camera type" drop-list and use the following: Protocol: rtsp Port: <...

Re: Local Web Access

Hello nmistler, I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles with remote access. Is the computer you're attempting to connect from on the same network as the computer running Sighthound Video? Be sure to use the internal address when on the same network and external address when outside the network. I'd...

Re: Remote Access rights

Hi JohnS,

I'm afraid I can't give a solid release date at the moment, though I can say we do not have plans to add this in the near future. This is certainly on our list of features we'd like to add but there are several other features that are a higher priority at this time.

Regards,

Re: Remote Access rights

Hi JohnS,

You are correct in that anyone who has your remote access login information can turn off your cameras. A view only user would be useful in such cases where you would like someone to be able to view your home footage but not be able to turn the cameras off.

Re: Sighthound stalls when in search mode

Hi Ian, We do have several users who store their video on an external drive. If the USB drive's read/write speed cannot keep up with amount of video that is constantly being written you may have troubles trying to view clips from the drive. I'd be happy to take a look at your logs for anything unusu...

Re: Confused about storage allocation

Hi Bob_Ecl, Temporary video is given priority in the storage allotment. For example, lets say I have one camera configured which generates 100gb's of temporary footage in 24 hours. If I set the temporary footage to 48 hours and have the total video storage set to 500gb's I'd end up with 300gb's of s...
