Hi vanyel,

Re: Truly deleted?

If the video was only in cache and not saved by a rule, and your cache period has passed, unless VDV was not running the video was in fact deleted. Sorry. :-(

Re: System Requirements of Hypothetical System

Hiya Scott, I'm happy to get into further detail, but here's a quick overview: CPU is much more important than memory. I think that's going to be one limiting factor in your setup. Though CPUs are faster than when we wrote this, it is still relevant more or less: http://www.vitamindinc.com/support/r...

Re: Google shuts down e-mail alerts

It would definitely be my guess that something else is responsible. 10-15 is a very very low volume of messages. Even if you were sending 1000 a day, unless someone was reporting those messages as spam google would most likely simply start returning the messages to you with a frequency error message...

Re: Google shuts down e-mail alerts

Using VDV to send email certainly does not violate any terms of service. Was this a permanent disabling, or a temporary? It's hard to find details on google's limits, though they certainly do exist. For example:https://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=22839&topic=1669057&am...

Re: Google shuts down e-mail alerts

Hi craftLt,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your email account. I believe a large number of our customers use gmail for alerts, it has always been our primary recommendation. How did google notify you that your account was disabled and what reason did they give?

Re: Using Vitamin d with a Q-See QC804 NVR

Hiya shaywood, I've searched in the past for accessing Q-See streams with little luck (Another user was also searching - http://vitamindvideo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=83&p=172). I just poked around again and have found a variety of people around the internet trying to get direct access...

Re: Memory leak

Hi Lincoln, Are able to get to the task manager and confirm that it is a Vitamin D Process that is using memory/CPU? Are you running any anti-virus/security/firewall/etc... software? It has happened a few times in the past that some security software not configured to have Vitamin D as an exemption ...

Re: DVD just stopped working!!

For anybody who comes across this post with a similar issue, this was a problem with ZoneAlarm blocking network and disk access to VDV.

Re: DVD just stopped working!!

Sorry you're having trouble. Have you recently installed any new software (particularly anti-virus or firewall software) or done any OS updates/upgrades? Unfortunately since you can't start VDV I can't have you submit a bug report which gives us recent logs, but if it's not too much trouble you coul...
