Re: Script Disabling of video and alerts

Hiya, This information is not stored in the registry, but instead in .rule files in the vdv data directory (I'm traveling with my phone right now so I'm afraid I can look this location up). You could make a copy of the rule file with the action turned on and off, and have your script replace these a...

Re: D-Link DCS-5222L not supported

I'm having trouble finding information on your specific model. Are you using rtsp or http? Most d-link cameras use rtsp. Please make sure you're using a username and password as well, sometimes this can be an issue even if the camera is set up to allow default access. You might also try adding "...

Re: Home Monitoring

Hi Beth,

Thanks for your interest but I'm afraid Vitamin D Video does intelligent video, not intelligent audio, so it wouldn't be able to assist you in tracking barking behavior.

Re: Multiple People

It is possible, but VDV wasn't really designed to facilitate the accurate counting of people. Reaching an acceptably low rate of errors and false positives would be quite a bit of work and experimentation, and this isn't a feature that is requested very often I'm afraid.

Re: Convert USB to IP

There is a variety of software that can do this, but the one I hear VDV users recommending most often is called WebcamXP.

Re: Stop recording Temporary Videos?

Hiya bwood, This section of the reference guide might help: http://www.vitamindinc.com/support/ref_guide_options.html That video is in the cache period for the value you have set - after the cache duration expires it will be deleted and only the video matching rules with the save response will persi...

Re: AVTECH AVM357

A quick search turns up that "/cgi-bin/guest/Video.cgi?media=jpeg" might work to retrieve individual jpeg images, though VDV does not support this method. Since "jpeg" is a parameter to the video script however, you might try other values there such as "mpeg" or "m...
