Re: Vitamin D not following the industry evolution

JohannesL,

Access to higher resolution video in app is certainly something I would like to get in soon.

col,

I'm glad you enjoy the software and I promise that it has not been abandoned and that there is a great desire to see it live on well into the future.

Re: Recording Framerate

Hiya OCB, There is no difference in the video processing library between Windows and OSX. If a certain stream is not working with your camera I'd need to figure out why in the underlying code. h264 requires much more processing than MJPEG, but uses less bandwidth. With regard to saving power, I high...

Re: Foscam FI9821W Horrible Picture Quality

2) There can be a bug in the OSX version of the app with regard to scaling non-4:3 ratios to fill the playback/stream view rather than maintaining aspect ratio and "letterboxing" (black bars above and below). This does not occur in the windows version. This is why your video looks "s...

Re: the file is not saved in FTP server

Hi valush, I'm not sure if you submitted a bug report or not, but we received one very recently where the ftp server was configured to not allow upload files with video extensions. This might be the case for you as well even if that was not your bug report, the test file would work (it is just a tex...

Re: Recording Framerate

Hi OCB,

You should be seeing normal video, not 1fps capture. On the live view in VDV the video looks OK? But not in the search view? Or by camera view do you mean the software or webpage included with your camera?

Re: New Foscam Camera: FI9821W - Cannot connect

If someone would like to set up remote access to their camera and let me have access to an account I can take a look and see if some items I'm working on at the moment solve the problem with this camera or not.

Re: New Foscam Camera: FI9821W - Cannot connect

Hi James, Are you using the OSX version of VDV? There is indeed a bug that can occur that causes VDV to stretch the playback rather than do the expected letterboxing. In Bytorok's scenario viewing exported videos confirmed that the video was indeed being sent and saved at the expected size. Is this ...

Re: Pricing

Hi Razor, VDV should work with networked DVR systems as long as they expose the video streams. If they do not, there is unfortunately no way for us to support them. I couldn't find anything for nightowl, though you might try emailing them directly. A description of the needed information can be foun...
