Hi everyone, I want VDV to work with every camera possible. If you have a camera with a video stream that can be accessed by other third party software (VLC, Quicktime, etc...) but does not work with VDV, and you would be willing to set up remote access for me to debug the feed please drop me a mess...

Re: Testing out software

Hi Stig,

Audio responses are available in the starter edition. When editing a rule click the "If seen" box, followed by the "Take actions" tab and check the "Play this sound" box.

Was there something else you needed to test that required a license?

Thanks,
- ryan

Re: Tweaking the recording time BEFORE and event

Hi Bryan, There isn't a way to change this at the moment. If you're simply curious as you view and you're still in the cache time period (the amount of time all video is saved for, configurable in preferences) you can easily step back and view this. In the search view select your driveway camera rat...

Re: Please Help - MP4 file incomplete?

Hi Sean, I'm sorry to hear your garage was broken into. The last file was from the tmp folder rather than the normal video storage location? These files don't have the necessary metadata to inform video players how to read the contents (moov, etc...), this can't be written until the file is complete...

You are correct, however, that drivers can change everything, and drivers included with th...

Re: VDV Beta versions

I am alive. I'm also working on the software right now (or was until I switched over to my browser).

This is primarily a support forum, so I take very little discussion to be a good thing. :-)

Re: cctv cam k-world usb encoder problem

Do you know what resolutions the encoder supports? It is likely that it only supports few, or even a single resolution, which you are unable to select in the free version.
