Re: Can't connect to cameras

Hi perfrank, Sorry to hear you're having trouble with getting things running on your new computer. We'd be happy to see if anything is going wrong internal to the application. Please try re-adding the camera and if the connection is still failing submit a bug report from "Help->Report a Problem...

Re: Computer without internet connection

Hi jdc03,

At this point in time an initial internet activation is required to run the software, there isn't a file override.

Re: Camera picture Glitches

@303, can you tell whether this happens when a bright light occurs? The manual mentions the image sensor overloading in bright light scenarios, though it doesn't detail all the symptoms. This camera does support simultaneous MJPEG and H.264 streams. If the glitch you're seeing is the result of an en...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Thanks 303. Does it look like the attached image? Someone on our team picked one up and experiences periodic frames like this at night. The way things in this image are shifted around it appears that the camera is simply generating a bad frame. I found several reviews on this and a few other Dlink m...

Re: Starter Edition - Expiration Date

Glad to hear you're enjoying the app!

With the new update on OSX the resolutions you see listed for your webcam will vary based on what the camera supports (this will come to windows soon as well).

Attached are examples of the cameras built into my laptop and external monitor.

Re: Camera picture Glitches

@303 - that would be correct. If it isn't working the problem probably isn't coming from dropped packets, the camera is either generating incomplete or broken frames occasionally, or at least incompatible. How often do you see these? daily/hourly/etc...

Re: Starter Edition - Expiration Date

Hi Asroth, The Starter Edition can be used free forever as before, it will never expire. The 14 day pro trial is to ensure everyone has a chance to try out the paid features if they are interested, and the software will then revert to the Starter Edition. We used to have to generate trials by hand f...

Re: Taking and storing snapshots

At the moment Sighthound Video only deals with clips and not snapshots. I'm not aware of any software that does what you're asking about.

Re: NO MORE multiple computers?

Hi Mike, This has always been the case since the earliest releases of Vitamin D Video, it was never permissible to simultaneously use a license on multiple machines. Licenses can freely be moved between machines if you upgrade or need to relocate your installation, but each server must have it's own...
