If it is the new machine, you likely just need to edit your camera and select 'match source' as the resolution to record in the same resolution the camera is sending rather than scaling to something else. If you had configured it while using the starter ...

Re: Too many false alarms

Have you tried drawing a region around the shrub and selecting "Outside"? This will ignore any objects that spend their entire duration within the drawn region.

More tips on region rules can be found here: http://www.sighthound.com/support/regio ... t-i-expect

Re: Remote Access

Remote access is now available only in licensed editions of the software. If you wish to continue using remote access in the starter edition, you would need to continue using version 2.1 instead.

If the camera doesn't have a query string you can begin one by addding "?svforcetcp" without the quotes.

Re: Which version working on Windows Server 2008 or other?

Hi Gabor,

The software should work on any edition of windows, XP and above. If you have any machines running your preferred version I'd encourage you to download and try the software and test with the free 14 day pro trial.

While we don't have a phone number we do have real people providing real support. License purchases include 12 months of priority email support. OSX 10.7 (Lion) or higher is required to run the mac version of Sighthound Video. 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is no longer supported by Apple so I'm afraid we can ...

Re: Recording shows no movement

Thanks everyone for the input, I'll chime in as well, let me know if anything has been missed. 1. Why can VLC not play these videos properly? 3. Why create output that is not usable using industry standard video players? I find this proprietary practice counter productive. As scobo68 pointed out, th...

Re: Security Access Violation - UDP port 1900

1900/UDP is used by the UPnP protocol to broadcast information about devices to listeners on the network. This is used by Sighthound Video to automatically locate and list cameras supporting this protocol in the setup wizard, as well as allowing these cameras to be connect to by their UPnP identifie...

Re: Random Blur

Hi wanab,

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. The camera configuration can be redisplayed by selecting a camera and selecting "Tools->Edit Camera".
