Re: How many Sighthound Agent.exe process should I expect?

Sighthound Video is a multiprocess application and this is perfectly normal. You should see 5 agents + 1 for each camera.

Re: BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) crash using Sighthound

Glad to hear you might have narrowed down the problem. RAM is definitely a common cause of random kernel bluescreens, hopefully memtest turns something up and can let you know which stick is faulty.

Re: Rules and alerts seem to stop working

Yup, we'd be happy to take a look at them - We aren't aware of any outstanding issues of that nature. Can you submit a bug report from within the application by selecting "Help->Report a problem", or manually zip and email us the logs directory from sighthound.com/support/where-does-sighth...

Re: Landscape Mode in App

We may consider this in the future, but unfortunately lists with thumbnails just don't work well in landscape. Much like other video playing apps (youtube for example) lists are in portrait so you can see more than two on the screen, but when a video is selected you can certainly use landscape to fi...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

In general MJPEG will use more network bandwidth to broadcast but less CPU on your computer to decode, while mpeg4 and h264 are the opposite. The resolutions available to each should be the same.

Re: Camera picture Glitches

We had a number of users reporting the 9821 worked fine with the app, I'm guessing they may have significantly changed their onboard firmware/software. This would not exhibit itself if you use an MJPEG stream from the camera, so that is one option with these models. I'm currently waiting for a respo...

Re: Rules and alerts seem to stop working

Uninstalling and re-installing the software does not touch the data directory so your settings/video/etc... would all be preserved.

Re: Rules and alerts seem to stop working

That's really odd, I haven't heard of any trouble like this in the history of the app so I'm afraid I don't have a quick suggestion offhand. I'm sure you do, but I have to ask anyway that you have the correct rule selected? I'm afraid the logs included with a bug report only contain a segment of the...

Re: Rules and alerts seem to stop working

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say there are no 'alerts'? It sounds like perhaps you have a rule response such as email set up, and stop receiving them despite the clips being listed correctly in the search view? We aren't aware of any outstanding issues of that nature. Can you submit a...
