Can't connect to cameras

by perfrank » Sun Jul 06, 2014 3:31 pm

Because of a computer brakdown I installed Sighthound on a new PC (Intel NUC, 64 bit, win7). I have moved my license to this installation.
The trouble is, that the software won't connect to the cameras (Tenvis w391 and JPT3815W). I can see them in the testscreen and of cource in a browser. But when pressing "next" or "finish": Can't connect.
It worked just fine on the old PC with XP.
Any ideas, please???
Best, Per

This is strange. I tried to install sighthound on my laptop, and it works just fine. But still no luck on the new PC. The camera shows up in the test screen, but when clicking "Finish", it tryes but ends up with "no connection".
Has anybody got a clue to where to look? Has anybody had any problems related to 64 bit computers?
I tried to reinstall, but no luck. I tried to switch off firewall. Same thing.

Hi perfrank,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with getting things running on your new computer. We'd be happy to see if anything is going wrong internal to the application. Please try re-adding the camera and if the connection is still failing submit a bug report from "Help->Report a Problem". That will send us some recent logs and perhaps some insight into what the problem may be.
