Re: Memory leak on Mac verision

packetguy, The best thing you can do is to "Report a Problem..." when you're seeing the leak. One thing included the logs sent to me is a list of all running Vitamin D Proceses and their current memory usage. That will allow us to confirm your memory leak and figure out which process it is...

Re: FTP Setup

gbell008,

Can you include a screenshot of your FTP configuration dialog in Vitamin D Video? From what you're saying below, you've told Vitamin D Video that the host is "ftp://shell". You should just put "shell". Vitamin D Video already knows that it is using FTP.

Re: Rule doesn't appear to be working

madmodmud, Here's a link to the reference guide that might help: <http://www.vitamindvideo.com/support/ref_guide_tips_20.html>. It explains how rules work and gives some tips on debugging (you can turn on a mode where the region will be shown in the search results and also the relevant points (some ...

Re: VIVOTEK FD8134v

Bill, Vitamin D Video will always just use stream 1 using the default name (live.sdp). If you want to do something more advanced (or change the default stream name), you'll need to go into manual mode. You can use "Other IP camera", "rtsp" protocol, and a stream path like "l...

Re: VIVOTEK FD8134v

billkater,

Is something not working with the "VIVOTEK IP7361" settings? If not, keep using them and I'll make a note that these settings are good for the FD8134 too.

Thanks!

Re: Pause camera activity to hibernate?

Donone, That's mostly right. ...40GB of space is not enough for 25 days of video, so the disk cleaner will actually kick in much earlier. ...but you're right that setting it to 25 days will prevent the disk cleaner from "constantly" running when the video is off. It should finish up after ...

Re: Pause camera activity to hibernate?

Donone, I have to say that I haven't been following every last detail, but can you give this a try just to humour me? For the sake of this example, let's say that you don't need the camera from 3:00pm till 6:00pm. ⋅ Set "keep all temporary video" to 1 day. If you've got VDV setup...

Re: Pause camera activity to hibernate?

Donone, I think you're still seeing the disk cleaner. The disk cleaner runs periodically and converts temporary video to clips. ...this process is significantly delayed by design. Assuming that you're not low on disk space (which makes things more complicated), let's say that your settings indicate ...

Re: Axis Cameras

JP, Actually, we have subtly different settings for various Axis cameras, though there certainly are a huge number that are the same (and generally any Axis setting will work for the most part). For the 241Q settings, for instance, we don't specify the resolution to the camera in the stream path (I ...

Re: Axis Cameras

Thanks! Axis cameras appear to be pretty darn consistent about working, but we always appreciate confirmation that cameras work. Which settings did you use for each of these cameras? Two of the cameras are listed in our current settings table, but one isn't: ⋅ M3011 - used Axis M3011 setti...
