Re: Garbled" video is causing spurious recordings

Hi Alkoch, This looks like packet loss over UDP, an unreliable transport. Assuming that your camera supports TCP you can attempt to force a tcp connection by appending "svforcetcp" to the query string of the URL. As your url already has a query string, you would simply change it from "...

Re: Where are the configuration files stored?

Hi AlKoch, This folder is meant to temporarily hold video files that are being created and are then moved to the video archives. If this folder was in an external drive which could not be reached the results would be catastrophic. Keep in mind these directories should not be interacted with as any t...

Re: Ignore entire region (to save processing), et.al.

Hi beeftube, Thanks for sharing your feature requests. We will take your suggestions into consideration for future builds. In the meantime, if you haven't already, you can set a rule to ignore all objects within a region to eliminate false detections from bugs. I realize this will not result in the ...

Re: Where are the configuration files stored?

Hi AlKoch,

You can find the data directory at https://www.sighthound.com/support/wher ... store-data . To save your cameras and rules you will want to copy out the entire rules folder and the camdb file.

Re: How do I upload to the "cloud"?

Hi AlKoch, To use a cloud service you will need to set a rule to export to local folder (https://www.sighthound.com/support/export-local-folder) and set that folder to sync with your cloud service. We do not have documentation for each cloud service as you simply need to set Sighthound to export to ...

Re: What are the files in the Search list and the archive fo

Hi AlKoch, These video files do not correlate 1 to 1 with the clips that you see in the Search View. This is because Sighthound uses a unique file management system which allows you to search all of your video and create new clips from this video without having to duplicate it. Once the temporary vi...

Re: Video stream is very jerky when viewed from LAN

Hi AlKoch, Are you viewing your camera(s) from the main index page which displays all cameras? This page displays the cameras at a lower resolution and frame rate as it is meant to be an overview page. If you click on one of the camera images you will be brought to a higher resolution video feed wit...
