Re: New user - trying to setup and have a network IP questio

Hi tpope, Sighthound Video cannot make any networking changes other than selecting the port that the remote server runs on. The remote access tab only displays the IP address of the computer and the network it is running on. If the addresses are displaying in the remote access tab then you should be...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

I'm currently in the trial of SH and have seen these glitches on my Vivotek IP8332 of which I have 4 camera's. SH is running on my 2011 iMac with 32GB RAM and 3.4GHz i7 CPU. The streams are set to 720p and previously I was using Surveillance Station software on my Synology NAS. Never experienced an...

Re: Rare bug - a report

Hi Rob, Thanks for your message. When you run Sighthound Video on multiple machines they do not share any data or communicate with each other in any way so the rules should not behave in the way you described. How many email notifications do you receive daily? Most email providers have a limit, so i...

Re: Windows 7 Program Quits when I log off

Hi jpborjas, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Are you logging the Windows User out when you disconnect from the remote viewer? Is the computer set to enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity? Sighthound Video currently does not support running as a service and requires the Wind...

Re: IFTTT - Leave Location Arm Sight hound

Hi ncjackson87,

Unfortunately this type of recipe is not possible. At this time Sighthound Video can only be used as a trigger ("if this...") and not as an action ("...then that") in IFTTT.

Re: Poor framerate

Hi millenios, It sounds like the USB may not be able to keep up with your USB cameras. You can test this by connecting this camera to other software (such as VLC or Quicktime) with the same resolution and see what the frame rate is. IP cameras are more common and tend to be more advantageous for hom...

Re: New user - trying to setup and have a network IP questio

Hi tpope,

127.0.0.1 is local host, not the local network IP address. The local network IP address is the Internal IP address that is listed in the remote access tab.

Re: Grey areas in the timeline

Hi Axel, This gap indicates that video was not recorded at that time. This could be due to the computer entering sleep mode, the camera losing connection, the user running Sighthound being logged out, as well as several other scenarios. I'd be happy to take a look at your logs for any indication of ...
