Hi,
I found a bug. Turns out, if you install Sighthound Video on multiple computers, rules that are turned off on one interfere with rules that are turned on on anther. Here's my use-case:
I'd wanted to transfer control of the camera to a different computer when I was leaving for a trip and planned on taking my laptop with me. I don't know if there was a problem while I was gone, as I didn't get any motion alerts, however after being back awhile, I noted that I wasn't getting any motion emails from walking in front of the camera. I ran Sighthound Video on the second computer and tested it, and it worked, so I wrote it off as a rare network fluke. Then, a week later, I noticed it still wasn't sending me motion emails. I thought about it awhile and decided to try completely disconnecting the camera from my laptop by taking out the IP of the camera in the preferences. This seems to have fixed the problem. Now I get emails from motion detected via the rules on the second computer - even when Sighthound isn't running.
I believe that any active rule, despite the existence of inactive rules on another computer connected to the same camera should be able to work. Or, at the very least, conflicting configurations should be detected and reported.
Rob
