Re: selecting substream in lorex LNE8950ABW?

Looks like LNE8950ABW is the model of NVR bundle, rather than cameras. So using it for Google queries likely won't generate any useful information. We don't any of those Lorex cameras in-house, but usually connection isn't the problem when it comes to Lorex. Either use ONVIF to configure those *or* ...

Re: Camera not connecting Hikvision DS-2CD2332

Hi, You want to make sure the cameras are assigned static IP addresses. NVR doesn't come into play in any way: SV is connecting to the cameras directly. So in your case, if I understood you correctly, make sure to use 192.0.0.2/192.0.0.3, but you also will have to make sure those are static, and are...

Re: 99% CPU usage

i3 is likely not enough for what you want to do. Depending on the amount of the cameras, you may want to use mid-to-high end i7 or better CPU.

Re: I have a Vivotek IB8381-E can't get Sighthound to see it

Please note, that accessing camera configuration page (e.g. camera's embedded HTTP server), is quite different from accessing cameras video stream (e.g. H.264 RTSP or MJPEG HTTP feed). If in doubt, it's advisable to access the camera using ONVIF ( https://www.sighthound.com/support/onvif-camera-setu...

Re: Wansview W3 IP Camera

Hey CCR,

We actually have a W3 in-house, and we usually connect to it via ONVIF. Camera shows up in the list of ONVIF devices (just like the manual says -- thanks for that pointer!), but it looks like "Unknown -- 192.168.0.115", so you'd need to select it by IP.

Re: Tools -> Options -> Storage rules

Hi, I may be misunderstanding the question, but if the old clips (as opposed to temporary video) are a concern, wouldn't one want to set the disk quota lower than 1.4TB, rather than running an external task to remove files? And if there is 1.4TB available to spare, why is there a need to clean up ol...

Re: Updated to latest version and my foscam FI9804w is broke

We're still tracking issues with Foscam R2s in 5.1.5; hoping to resolve those next week. Other Foscams appear to operate normally, so please open a ticket with us, if yours doesn't.

Thanks,

Re: Having major problems with video being marked as tempora

jpluttme,

Please open a ticket via Help -> Report a problem. Definitely not something observed with 5.1.5 yet.
When opening a ticket, please mention whether the problem occurs with just one camera or all.

Thank,s

Re: save trigger images to disk instead of email

CraigNZ, That's a nifty way of doing that! I also want to point out the utility of combining email alerts with Google Inbox. Google Inbox makes it possible to quickly page through all images in the email thread, which makes reviewing the email notifications a breeze. That being said, we do like the ...
