Re: Cant find macbook pro bult in camera??

New macbook webcams communicate over a new type of connection and are not compatible with our previous webcam library. We've already rewritten this code and support for the new webcams will appear in the next release.

Re: Foscam FI8906W - Low Framerate

Hi Matteo,

Can you try changing your configuration settings in Sighthound Video from the 8906 to the 8904? This will attempt to connect over a different URL which may behave a bit better. Please ensure that your cameras have the latest firmware installed as well.

Re: green and yellow markers

There isn't a way to disable this in the mobile application at the moment, but we'll consider it for a future release.

Re: User-Defined No Detect Areas

Hi Philip, Glad you've got things sorted out! For the "temporary" message I'm guessing you see this only when using one of the default "Any object anywhere" type rules in the search view. If you select your region rule these messages shouldn't appear. This is just a warning that ...

Re: Trouble with 2 cameras

Hi Scott, Is it the camera that you have set up with external port forwarding that is having the trouble? Are you configuring it in the application via the local address or external? The "Foscam FI8918W" preconfigured setting in Sighthound Video corresponds to a URL of http://USER:PASS@IP/...

Re: Option to make time/date stamp smaller

Hi Brett, I'd be curious as to what resolution you are recording that the timestamp seems to be covering too much? It is currently adaptively sized to be as small as possible while being readable in exported clips. 320x240 is the exception and is much smaller in practice, but many video players can'...

Re: Trouble with 2 cameras

Hi Scott,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. What model cameras are you trying to connect to, and what settings are you using? Is it the same model as your first camera?

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your message. I agree, and running as a service is definitely a feature that is very high on our priority list.
