Re: Trouble streaming video via Android App

Hi optimusfan, Two people here use the Galaxy S3 without trouble (though one is running Android 4.3, the other person isn't around for me to ask at the moment). The video streaming in the application on Android 4.0 and up uses h264 and HLS rather than jpegs for improved image quality and drastically...

The local export response is likely what you are looking for.

Re: Delayed Intervals for Notifications

Yup yup, the time period would definitely have to be user configurable.

Re: Delayed Intervals for Notifications

Hi Walt, I wasn't aware of your specific scenario and was trying to provide information on some functionality that might have helped within the current release of the app - some users don't explore much with rule creation. There isn't particularly a difference between email and push notifications ot...

Re: 2 Foscams not working after upgrade?

Hi Brandon, Glad you got things working again. Sighthound itself certainly doesn't have a restriction on passwords. I'm afraid I don't have an 8910, but we can run some tests on the 8916 and 8918 which are hopefully similar enough to see if there is an issue with the camera. I assume that you can't ...

Re: Video files could not be found

Glad you got things figured out. One item that might be useful in your situation if you're trying to share videos for access to others would be to use the local export response on selected rules, rather than putting the app data on the shared drive. The local export response will have the benefit of...

Re: 2 Foscams not working after upgrade?

Hi Brandon, Sorry you're experiencing trouble, we'll be glad to help get things working again. There shouldn't be any difference between VDV and Sighthound Video. If you suspect that the username or password may be an issue, can you try changing them to match the cameras that are working to eliminat...

Re: Vacation Mode

Hi Walt, Thanks for the feature request. A broader generalization of your request rule "groups" is a feature that has been suggested a few times that I think would be a great addition someday. This would enable easy toggling between a variety of scenarios - "home", "not home...

Re: Delayed Intervals for Notifications

Hi Walt, Thanks for the feature request. We may introduce some sort of rate limiting in the future, but generally this isn't necessary in Sighthound Video as you can create specific rules. For example, I might have a rule for my front yard camera looking for "Any object, anywhere" and mark...

Re: Video files could not be found

I'm not sure exactly how your external drive is being connected to by the OS. My guess is that it is mounting to a different path each time (/Volumes/MyDrive, then /Volumes/MyDrive-1, etc...). Unless the drive is unavailable or the logical path has changed Sighthound Video would not have trouble loc...
