Re: Why does it take so long to load after system restart

Hi Bill, I'm not aware of any issues with the application's launch time. Immediately after booting computers often have lots of services and applications scheduled to open which are all competing for CPU, memory, and disk resources. This could certainly contribute to a slower start than normal. I'm ...

Re: Foscam FI9805E

Hi Marios, I'm afraid I spend my days mostly in software and am unable to keep up with all the cameras on the market. When I do get to spend time with cameras it is typically just to test that it works, rather than being able to live with it long enough to be able to sufficiently review. I can say t...

Re: Foscam FI9805E

Hi Marios,

Please be aware that this camera may have some glitches within Sighthound Video or other third party software. See viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11559 for more detail.

Re: User-Defined No Detect Areas

Hi Philip, Glad to hear you're enjoying Sighthound Video so far. Configurable dates is a feature request that's come up recently. We are asking for local date time format, unfortunately some OS and locales are being a bit stubborn about this so we'll need to add the manual override option. The defau...

Re: IFTTT Integration

Not so much a hint but I can give confirmation there isn't a static URL that you can hit to accomplish that, a bit of scripting would be necessary. In the future when we have an official interface to the app items like this will certainly be made as easy as possible.

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Hi Sammi, If the data loss is not coming from packet loss on the network, it could be that the camera itself is having trouble encoding data at the requested rate or quality. I'm unsure exactly what settings your camera supports, but you could reduce the framerate, adjust the bit rate lower, and if ...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Hi Sammi, Some users have reported problems with these cameras regardless of settings or regardless of which third party software they use. The browser is likely connecting to the MJPEG or a different stream (and potentially their software as well). Please ensure that you have the latest firmware in...

Re: SightHound IPad app wanted

Hi creas002, I'm afraid I can't find any support tickets associated with the email address you used to register on the forums. It may have been that you asked for a feature that already exists in Sighthound Video? Otherwise we only mention the upgrade path because we've found most Vitamin D Video us...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Absolutely. Can you let me know what camera you are connecting to and what settings you are using?

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Hi Sammi,

You can append "?svforcetcp" to the end of your stream path to have the software connect over TCP rather than UDP (a lossy protocol). For more detail please see viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11523
