Re: Support for Sumpple Wifi Wireless/Wired 960P?

I can't guarantee since we don't own one of these cameras to try but I believe it would. It is a general purpose camera (isn't locking you into a subscription / proprietary ecosystem) and mentions ONVIF support so it should be autodetected and configured by SV once installed on your network. Assumin...

Re: Remote access not working with latest version?

We aren't aware of any remote access problems at the moment, so the first thing to do would troubleshoot where the connection is being lost. * Are you able to access from the same machine using the local or internal addresses? If so this indicates that remote access is up and running as expected. * ...

Re: Browser's that are supported for remote viewing under 5.

We've targeted and tested the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. IE11 support may be available in a future update. If you are having trouble with Firefox please first disable any plugins and/or try from Private Browsing mode. Video playback will default to HTML5 when available. Fl...

Re: V 5.0 Check for updates does not work

That would certainly do it. Thanks for being a customer for so long. I don't believe there is a need to do a clean install unless you're encountering an issue. The update file you mention is the only override file that was ever used so there shouldn't be anything else of impact.

Re: H.265

While there are patent agreements and other legalities that must be worked through and in place there are also many other moving parts including the state, compatibility, and speed of available decoders and encoders, native OS support, development time, and similar. We'll be watching H265 adoption a...

Re: Remote access not working with latest version?

It is likely that any adjustments/exceptions in firewall software you may have performed in the past will need to be re-added for Sighthound 5.0. As it is now 64 bit rather than 32 it will both appear to many security applications as a completely new program and it also exists at a different locatio...

Re: Does V5.0 work with a 32 bit system?

Hi harmer007, Starting with 5.0 Sighthound Video does require a 64 bit OS installation. If you're running Windows 10 it is possible to switch your OS from a 32 bit install to a 64 bit install , though as this requires a full system wipe it is particularly cumbersome if you are using the machine for ...

Re: External IP won't show up??

The external address won't be shown in the application if either Sighthound Video was not requested to automatically open a port in your router, if your router does not support such programmatic port opening, or if the end to end connection could not be verified. This does not necessarily mean that ...
