When looking at cameras for Sighthound Video, you want to make sure the support the following:

1. H264 video encoding
2. Onvif protocols
3. RTSP streaming

I hope it helps. We also recommend looking at Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, and Ubiquiti.

Because Sighthound Video is self-contained on your system it can only send messages rather than receive. Nobody knows of its existence or would have access even if they did, so it cannot be a target/'that' in ifttt, only a source/'this'.
