Re: Few listed files but huge number of stored files.

Sorry... I forgot to address your 2nd question... I have not played with this, but assuming you are using Windows... click the Start button and type in "Task Scheduler". In Task Scheduler you can select a program to run at boot-up but delay it for a number of minutes. See if that will help...

Re: Few listed files but huge number of stored files.

I started using an SSD just a month or so ago, so I don't know how well it will stand up to this type of usage. I have tried to do some mental gymnastics to determine what kind of life to expect from it (and it gives me a headache!). In an SSD each data storage location has a limited number of times...

Re: Few listed files but huge number of stored files.

"ALL" video is continuously recorded. ALL OF IT! It is broken into 2 minute segments and those are the file names you see in the folder. When the space allotted for the video is full, then the oldest videos/files are deleted to make room for new videos/files. With one exception... There is...

Re: Multiple Network Interface Devices

I have 4 IP cameras on a separate network. I bought a Router/WiFi and have 4 cameras and the computer plugged into it (I do not use WiFi, and this device has 5 connectors, so I am okay, but I think it can be daisy-chained with another router to gain even more hardwire connections). But there are TWO...

Re: Swann NHD-810 Stream Path

At the top of the forum list is a text box for searching the forums... enter "SWANN" in that box and click the magnifying glass icon next to the box. I think there are some suggestions to try for other Swann models... maybe one of those suggestions will help.

Re: Storms - Lightening and Rain

Various sudden lighting changes are detected as motion. Work-arounds are to change the detection rule somehow. Or if you want detection of any motion in the whole view, but car headlights shining on a wall are detected as motion, define a convoluted window that encompasses the whole image, with an e...

Re: ip cameras

I hope I understand your question... Sighthound will show all the cameras at once as small "thumbnails" on the right side of the Sighthound window. They are small and not adjustable in size and they update about once every half a second or so (movement, such as a car passing, is 'jumpy'). ...

Re: Android IP Web Cam Quality

Don't know anything specific about the Nexus 5 Android Web Cam, but I have had MANY cheap Web Cams that smear motion. Most would work reasonably well in VERY bright scenes, but anything less than full sunshine just doesn't work well. Cars on the street at night are just a long white streak followed ...

Re: Better time choices in rules

Do you mean like you can do by clicking the (blue) text link for each rule in the middle of the panel below the main view window? Default is "Every Day - 24 hours", but you can have multiple rules, each set to be valid for specific days, or groups of days of the week, with a starting time ...
