Re: battery powered wifi RTSP cam for sighthound?

Hey, Tuttinyerownhorn... SPAM is SPAM no matter how much technical jargon you surround it with. I hope when you get sick and go to a dorktor you get one that got the medical degree using ghost writing services and not because of their own study and work to earn the degree. Do you think they will rel...

Re: finding a supported camera - where to start?

SightHound works fine with a USB Webcam. A good one from Microsoft or Logitech would cost between $20 and $60. I have 5 that I aim out windows to view the yard and street around my house. The only problems with Webcams is that cheaper ones will tend to smear movement in dark scenes, and the drivers ...

Re: Reolink 520 camera

Another couple of possibilities: If you have a wired (Ethernet) connection in any of your Local Area Network, try unplugging the connectors and plugging them back in. Especially if they are in moist or greasy areas (such as in or near a kitchen!). The connectors are not always the best and dust and ...

Re: Capabilities advice

I doubt if anyone here is qualified to answer that question. Best to consult a lawyer in your area that is familiar with local law and regulations. There are cameras in stores and commercial establishments and there does not seem to be a problem with that, but schools are another matter. Students do...

Re: Use Old Cox, Xfinity or other Cable Company Security Cam

Ok, I can get to the admin login page, I get the “OK” message, but when I try and go to the IP address after I get nothing... any suggestions? Dunno what you mean "get the OK message" unless you mean it indicates you have logged-in. If that is what you mean, then the next screen you see s...

Re: Capabilities advice

Of course there are students here... but what do you want to ask?

If you are asking for advice on the use of Sighthound video surveillance software, ask away!

If you are trying to circumvent any 'new user monitoring' so you can post spam later, GO away.

Re: Doorbird IP Doorbell Camera...

I did a web search for the text string in your subject line and found a couple of independent (supposedly) Review sites, and Amazon sells that brand so there are reviews to read there. I have no idea where you might see the brand in person.

Re: Timeline Scrubbing

Yes, to the meaning of the blue and green sections. Selecting via the timeline at the bottom can never be much more accurate that the number of pixels on screen allotted for the time... if there are more minutes per day than there are pixels on the screen there would be no way to pick some particula...

Re: Timeline Scrubbing

Methinks you can do that already. In the Search mode, select a single camera and in the timeline at the very bottom you can coarsely select a starting point, or you can select a marked clip to start at. From there you can go forward or backward by dragging the marker in the shorter timeline directly...

Re: Reolink 520 camera

Just to be sure and perfectly clear, I mean absolutely remove power from the devices for at least 30 seconds... not just command a reboot via a computer connection. I even sometimes disconnect the hardwire data connection (network cable). Shutting the computer down all the way, and not just a comman...
