Re: object larger than

Okay, it wasn't too clear in your first message, we couldn't really guess whether you wanted to exclude or keep the big objects. But yeah, it'd be quite a nice feature to have, especially for cameras that may catch cars, trucks and other traffic in their field of view. Or a bug crawling across the ...

Re: Capabilities advice

TO the right of the subject line in each posting are two icons, one is a flag shape and the other is a double-quote shape. Click in the Flag and then follow the directions in the page that appears. This is where you can alert the forum owners of the unwanted junk. They usually respond to the report ...

Re: object larger than

I think you have that backwards... the option is to IGNORE objects smaller than x pixels. So it is exactly what you are asking for, only trigger on object larger than x pixels.

Re: facial-recognition in which products?

Hey Whard1968... your SPAM is not welcome here, and if your resumés are as poorly written as your SPAM, then your resumé service would not help anyone.

Re: Use Old Cox, Xfinity or other Cable Company Security Cam

If I understand your problem... you need to get power onto the ethernet cable. There are "Injectors" that you can buy (fairly cheap) that do just that. You plug it into the AC power and the cable from the router to one end of it, then plug the cable from the camera into the other end. This...

Re: Sighthound Video 6 beta issues

I'm using 2 cameras and are experiencing quite heavy load on my cpu and ram. Is this normal? I'm also getting a yellow warning triangle saying that the computer is under heavy load. One camera is using over 600mb ram. I'm only running sighthound on a fresh Windows installation. See What resolution/...

Re: Group rules together?

+1 --- I'd like to be able to select multiple cameras as well as multiple rules instead of the 'just one camera at a time or all cameras at once' method at present. I'd like to track movement from one area around my house to another without having to re-select the cameras and wait for the list of cl...

Re: Ignore entire region (to save processing), et.al.

I am running an old version of SH, (the last one that can run without having to be on the internet to 'phone home' to verify the license, I actually paid for one version beyond that, but my system cannot be connected to the internet). It has the predefined filters of "People" and "Unk...

Re: Ignore entire region (to save processing), et.al.

To reduce the clutter in the Search list, I have found that all I need to do is select each rule, one at a time, to see what shows up. Most of my 9 cameras can create 100 to 1000 or more clips per day, but may not generate any clips that are saved by rule. I just wish I could select more than one ru...

Re: Masking

I should add that neither of those methods is ideal. It is nice to reduce the clutter of thousands of clips in the list, but I often want to see what happened in the area that was masked. I often go through the day's clips one rule at a time to reduce the clutter, but I agree that having Sighthound ...
