Re: Trendnet TV-IP410

Hi bigbell, Is it showing up in the camera auto-detect portion of the camera setup? I can't quite tell from your comment. If it is auto detected (just not selecting the type automatically), that's great, otherwise you'll have to manually enter the IP. I'd suggest first choosing the TV-IP110 settings...

Re: Save folders

Hi Slappy, Thanks for the feedback. This functionality has been a very common request and we plan on adding it in a future update. The paid versions of Vitamin D Video already support ftp upload of clips as a response. A workaround for your desired scenario is to run an ftp server (such as filezilla...

Re: Rule Confusion?

It's a confusing issue, as evidenced by the require length of my response. It's definitely something we struggled with a lot from a design standpoint, but ultimately we decided to be aggressive with when we show the warning (any part of the clip isn't saved) to make sure people are never losing data...

Re: Axis Cameras

Hi JPElectron, Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear you're happy with the app and you've been having success! I did a bit of googling and found people reporting that the Axis M1113 has a video stream URL similar to what we have listed as "Axis (other MPEG-4 - type A)" and "Axis (othe...

Re: New User

Hi Philiverpool, We currently don't offer remote viewing clients. You can configure emails with snapshots to be sent when events occur, which in general is a lot more interesting than periodically tuning in to a camera where nothing is happening. :-) For remote application interaction myself and oth...

Re: Rule Confusion?

Hi Paul, Do you see this result when searching with the people only rule that you're saving, or when you search with the default 'all objects' rule that is selected when you go to the search view? I'm going to assume that it's the latter, and explain what is occurring. Consider this timeline: 0s - n...

Re: Viewing video over the internet

It sounds like you're using an IP camera? If that is the case you should be able to connect to it from as many sources as you'd like, Vitamin D Video included, as long as your network has sufficient bandwidth. Hope that helps!

Re: Address Vitamin D access for updates

Hi Val, If you are concerned that the auto-update dialog might pop up when someone is on the computer, no need to worry. Auto-updates are only checked for when the GUI is launched. If you really really want to stop the application from being able to check for updates you can block vitamindvideo.com/...

Re: Address Vitamin D access for updates

Hi Valamas, Thanks for the feedback! The address that the program checks for updates is not a standard 'viewable' web page that you can visit in a browser. If you'd like to manually check for updates you can choose Help->Check for Updates... While we don't have a global option to disable automatic c...

Re: Zoom In feature

Thanks Joe,

Are you using a megapixel camera and want a bigger view window than the current VGA display, or are you specifically asking to zoom on what is already displayed? Quick tip for the latter on OSX machines, you can hold down ctrl+mouse scroll wheel to zoom in on anything.
