Save folders

by Slappy » Sun Oct 10, 2010 2:07 pm

I'd like to see two folders for videos. One folder for the temorary archive and one for the videos saved from the filter rules.

It would be nice to map a drive to some online storage, like skydrive, for saving the videos, but I don't want to save all the temporary stuff there.

Hi Slappy,

Thanks for the feedback. This functionality has been a very common request and we plan on adding it in a future update.

The paid versions of Vitamin D Video already support ftp upload of clips as a response. A workaround for your desired scenario is to run an ftp server (such as filezilla) on your local machine and have it store the videos in your target folder. We've heard from a few people currently using this method to store clips on dropbox. Definitely not as nice as having the functionality built into the app, but it can get the job done. Hope this helps!

I just tried this, and it works great!

Yes, it's hacky, but it's a lot better than mirroring the entire cache.
