Address Vitamin D access for updates

Hi,

What address does the program access to check for updates?

It would be nice to have this as an option to turn off / link to manually update. In general I find the configuable options a bit light.

Hi Valamas,

Thanks for the feedback! The address that the program checks for updates is not a standard 'viewable' web page that you can visit in a browser. If you'd like to manually check for updates you can choose Help->Check for Updates... While we don't have a global option to disable automatic checks you can select 'Skip this version' when th dialog appears to stop notifications about a particular update.

Hi, I am catching instances of worklpace bullying and would like to disable automatic updates. Any address/ports i can block?

Hi Val,

If you are concerned that the auto-update dialog might pop up when someone is on the computer, no need to worry. Auto-updates are only checked for when the GUI is launched. If you really really want to stop the application from being able to check for updates you can block vitamindvideo.com/vitamindinc.com.
