Re: Video files mysteriously deleted

I am not sure if I can be of much help, but let me try one suggestion. Instead of a "Cut and Paste", do a "Copy and Paste". This will take longer to do and requires twice as much disk space, both of which are undesirable things, but it seems (and I am in no way sure about this) W...

Re: False Alarms Since Latest MacOS Security Update

No problem with the post as far as I am concerned. But thank you for responding with the cause of the problem... GLAD you found it. Problems with two cameras that occur about the same time as an update to the software can mask the real cause of the problems. I would have also assummed that because t...

Re: False Alarms Since Latest MacOS Security Update

I have been cogitating (off and on) about your problem since I read it this morning... err... actually now it is YESTERDAY morning! I just cannot think of a plausible scenario where a change to the OS would affect the motion detection functions of VDV. I am not saying that can't happen, but i...

Re: Vitamibe D won't start up after previously working

You might provide some more info for the Techs, to save some time when they get here... From your comment about chkdsk I assume you are using a PC, but it would be good to know what verion of the operating system you are using (XP, Vista, 7, etc.) (Unless MAC also has a chkdsk, in which case some of...

Re: Can support any form of Tour cameras?

AH HA! :) Yes, it all makes sense to me now. "Tour" is meaning "Pan", or the camera is moving. And, yes, VDV will see this as motion occurring within the scene and motion rules will save video, play audio alerts and/or send e-mails because of it. Your "feature request" ...

Re: Can support any form of Tour cameras?

Unfortunately, my language skills do not include Chinese, so unless someone else comes along that can translate English and Chinese we will probably have to continue to use Google to translate. Do you have some more identifying information about the camera; Manufacturer and model name/number? Also, ...

Re: Automatically restart

If you leave the main window closed, but don't log off, it's still running and I find crashing is way less of a problem... If/when it does break, I use the following... Keep Running checks that the process is running, and a batch file restarts it and sends me an email... ; Keep Running v1.2 Configu...

Re: Can support any form of Tour cameras?

If you were to tell us your native language we might be able to undo Google's scrambling of the translation. Google translation is a nice thing, but sometimes it can make a total mess of things. You might also post your question in your language (in addition to the Google translation, someone here m...

Re: 1 of 4 camareas wont connect

I am using the latest pro version of Vitamin d. I am using Foscam Fi8904W cameras. I have 3 of the 4 working just fine. The 4th camera will not connect. I have checked and re-checked the settings and no luck. I am able to connect to all 4 cameras with the web browser and with a app for my Android b...

Re: Sending pre-recorded video through Vitamin D

I have often wondered about doing this, and wondered how to go about it. But your comment about it being slow was a bit of an eye-opener. If a single processor can handle from 2 to 4 cameras in real-time, then that kind of implies that one processor could handle a data stream at 2 to 4 times that of...
