Re: Just a moment...

It is possible that there was a non-printable character in the data for the Temp variable and when you retyped it the character got overwritten. It could also be that some pointer was corrected while updating the variable and that cured the problem.

Glad it is working for you!

Re: Not recognizing objects at night

I don't have any direct knowledge, but maybe some questions I have might lead you to a solution... At night, can YOU see objects in the display of that camera (in VDV)? If you cannot see the scene, then neither can VDV. If all you can see is black then maybe the infrared LEDs in the camera are not t...

Re: Intruder gets in/out with no VitD record

The path in Winders 7 is: C:\Users\{user's name}\AppData\Local\Vitamin D Video\logs You may not be able to get to them if you are not logged in as 'Administrator'. As for "hiding" VDV... The subprocesses that do the actual video monitoring continue to run if you close the main window altog...

Re: Intruder gets in/out with no VitD record

I see you are using Vista but I don't know that version of winders at all, so I cannot tell you the Path to the log files. You might check through the postings here for the word "Vista" to see if the question of where the log files are has already been answered. Or do a search on your hard...

Re: Intruder gets in/out with no VitD record

Not a lot of skill, but just some particular knowledge. Obviously, they know the computer is present and is recording video and that Vitamin D is the software. They also know the particulars of how VDV works to know how to erase the videos. Many people are smart enough to use the mouse to point and ...

Re: Snow causing false trigger

There are several things you can try to reduce the number of alarms issued. 1. Edit the rule "Look for:" section... Check the "Ignore objects smaller than:" checkbox and set the number of pixels to some size that is bigger than the snowflakes but not so big as to miss an otherwis...
