Re: Adjust Live Display Area

I agree! As a work around, you might try to use a magnifier program. On a PC, using Windows, there is a utility called "Magnifier" that produces a movable and resizeable window that will display an enlarged version of a portion of the screen. I set it to magnify 200% and put if over the ri...

Re: email a screen capture

vit d agent.exe uses 113megs of memory each and about 6-11 cpu for 10 processes, or 10 occurances, which seems like a lot, but only 6 of them are using cpu, now if i open the application video d video.exe adds another -14 cpu. plus all of the agents are still running. other than that, sidebar.exe t...

Re: email a screen capture

Forgot to try one other thing: I watched the CPU value for the "VitaminD Video.exe*32" process and it was at 1 percent, until clicked on it to make it the active window, then it very temporarily jumped all the way to 2 percent and went back to 1 percent. I then minimized it and it dropped ...

Re: email a screen capture

From the Experience Index your (Falcon999) present video card seems to be better than either of my systems and I do not see the high CPU usage in VDV. I suppose that a better card (or even just one that had different built-in features, even if it scores lower on the Experience Index) might help, but...

Re: email a screen capture

So they are individually addressed on a network? Are the data from the cameras being checked by your antivirus software? That could be taking CPU time. If you shut down VDV altogether, what is the CPU usage? If you run Task Manager, what processes are using the most CPU time? (Be sure to "Show ...

Re: email a screen capture

Are your cameras Web cams (USB interface) or NET cams (network cnx, either WiFi or wired)?

Re: email a screen capture

MAYBE, just MAYBE one core dropped in utilization by 2 or 3 percent, and it was the lowest usage of the 4 at this time, being about 30% to begin with (if we assume the lines in the graph are 16.66 percent steps). Not much else changed. But I think Winders is off doing something on its own right now ...

Re: email a screen capture

Oops, sorry, I just re-read your original post and see that you say you have them at the lowest resolution already. It just doesn't make sense that the CPU usage would be so high. I am running 5 cams (and periodically a 6th) and CPU usage in a quad core Athlon X4-645 runs between 25 and 60 percent a...

Re: email a screen capture

I recommend that you take a look at the resolution that the cams are outputing to the computer. I suspect that they are set to provide high resolution (which is nice for OUR viewing of the images) but VDV reduces the resolution to 320x240 (QVGA) for the motion detection operation (less data, so it i...

Re: What IR cameras?

Apologies for not being helpful in the realm of naming a specific camera. I do feel your frustration. I have only one camera that might fit your needs, but I don't believe it is actively being manufactured now (TrendNET TV-IP400W). It has poor low light capabilities and does not have built-in IR ill...
