Re: Where did Vitamind.com go?

This sounds GREAT to me! I don't know who all were owners of the company, but I'm hopeful that you and the others were able reap some windfall from developing such amazing software, and keeping it going during the lean times. I'm VERY glad that it's back in active development!

Re: Remote acces

Hi Lucamotoc, According to another posting, the newer features are in the new release, which is called SightHound. If we want those newer features we'll have to pay an upgrade price (though some recent purchasers might get it for free or at a discount). As for me, I'm looking forward to what they'll...

I didn't have any troubles when I got my basic license, nor when I upgraded to a pro license. It all went smoothly for me!

Re: Bluecherry TW-100-4 & TW-220-8 capture cards

I've got a PV-149, which Blue Cherry also sells. Using the Direct Show drivers Vitamin D Video is able to see all 4 ports. I'm going to be installing IP cameras, so my capture card will be going to eBay.

Re: Recording Hardware

I did forget to mention that my resolution was 640x480. I'm finally coming back 'round to this project (working on some wiring today, in fact), and should note that the cameras that I'm wanting to put in now have a max resolution of 1280x960, which will require a lot more CPU for VDV to handle. I on...

Re: Recording Hardware

Also note that in my testing I was able to use 2 cameras with VDV on a 2.8GHz P4, which is quite slow by today's standards. I did notice that it would hammer that old CPU pretty badly if VDV wasn't minimized, but that wasn't a big deal. So I'm sure that any modern CPU, other than an Intel Atom, woul...

Re: Memory leak

Lincoln, Like Semper, I'm another happy user who hasn't experienced what you're experiencing. Also, I read Joe's reply three times and I cannot see anything insulting in there. He could indeed be right about infection (there isn't an antivirus scanner available that can catch everything, and even sc...

Re: DVD just stopped working!!

When I've run into this sort of problem, whether at home or work, it's usually something that's gone wrong with Windows. It sometimes just breaks, and won't run one or more programs properly. In that sort of case I've spent tons of time trying to fix it, but the solution has always been to just rein...

Re: updates?

It was back in July/August 2011 when I was having some neighborhood problems (multiple burglaries and nighttime harassment such as firecrackers going off on our porch) and needed to get something going. I didn't try too many software packages back then, but here's what I do remember: WebCamXP - Can'...

Re: updates?

Hi grege, About 7 months ago a beta program was announced with some minor updates to the current release being given. My understanding is that the updates are more for updating support for newer cameras, but I could be wrong about that. However, I've not noticed any major bugs, or even minor bugs in...
