Re: How to gracefully recover from a sudden power off?

Hello, We are sorry to hear that you encountered an issue when restarting Sighthound after a crash. Unless something critical to the application was damaged the app would still be recording. If this happens again, can you please take a screenshot of the dialog box? It would be good to send in any C...

How to gracefully recover from a sudden power off?

If SH doesn't exit gracefully, such as in the case with a sudden power off, when it comes back online it stops with a dialog box asking something (I think it was something about removing or trying to recover the footage that was suddenly cut off). This means that when it restarts, it will not contin...

US date format seems to have a bug

The US date format seems to have a bug. It shows, for example, as "Feb, 24 2018" - so, the comma is in the wrong position.

Slow iOS app (long video delay)

There's a long delay (10-15 secs.) between action and it showing up on the video stream in the iOS app. I'm running Sighthound on an 8 core Mac Pro, so it's not a server performance issue, and the video directly in the Sighthound app on the Mac Pro is fine. I have also tested the web interface, from...

Only receiving notifications on one iOS device

Hi. I have the Sighthound app installed on multiple iOS devices, and I can remotely access Sighthound successfully on all of them. But I'm only receiving notifications on one device. Any idea why that might be? I double checked to make sure notifications are on in the settings.

Re: enable/disable rules based on whether I'm home?

I have this setup the way it should work, but it seems unreliable. I installed the IFTTT iOS app and setup an IFTTT account. On the iOS Locations channel, I added a geofence recipe which creates a file in Dropbox. I gave IFTTT access to my dropbox account. I used Automator to create a "watch me...

enable/disable rules based on whether I'm home?

Is there any clever solution to enable/disable rules based on whether I'm home? More specifically, I'm thinking based on whether my iPhone is on the LAN? I tried to come up with a solution using IFTTT, but it seems SH only can trigger IFTTT rules, not receive actions. So I'm wondering if anyone has ...

Search results for limited-hour rules

When I open search results, and click on a rule that is only supposed to run during limited times, the search results still show events from throughout the whole day. Is that normal?
