Re: Thumbs Snapshot quality & Export Snapshot

Ding Ding Ding!! I was just going to post this same suggestion, at least adding a 'Snapshot' option to the controls dropdown. Even better would to be able to left click and drag a box around a specific section of the image to save as a snapshot. As it is now I have to go to the Reolink client softwa...

Speedingup the search function.

I was having a lot of trouble with slow video switching between clips or searching on a dedicated iMac i5 with a 500Gb HD. Replaced that with a 2 TB SSD for both the system files and video storage and now the clips show up and play almost instantly, much better. So if you have this issue, especially...

Re: Which camera is as good as Logitech 700e?

I use all ReoLink cameras, awesome night vision w/audio, much better than my Hikvision. Very clear day and night. As they come set from the factory the shutter speed for night vision is set way to low, and causes smearing, but they allow you to change it along with back lighting and noise.

Re: why is remote access still so glacially slow?

This is strange, you seem to be doing everything correctly. I am using a dedicated iMAC i5 quad core as my security center, with 9 cameras and on Verizon 4G I get my first camera feed in 5 seconds and the last one in about 8-10 seconds, when I select a camera I get full screen video with sound in a ...

Re: Audio Monitering

As all of my cameras are ReoLink I simply installed their FREE client software and set it to monitor all cameras without recording (letting SV do that). It seems the free Reolink client software has no problem monitoring the sound from every camera when selected..... strange.

Re: modifying grid view

I have other client software that has seamless multi camera view (Reolink), so it should not be too large of a problem. Would make the grid view both more functional by not using so much screen real estate, and just plain look better. If we are going to pay $250 for what's supposed to be Pro-summer ...

Re: PTZ support

I use Reolink PTZ cameras, their IOS app allows me to control the cam as well as 5 presets. They work well in SH on my iMAC but I still have to use their Client app to control PTZ. It would be great to have integrated PTZ control in SH.

Audio Monitering

Hi All; Is there a way to monitor the audio in Camera or Grid view? So far I can only hear the audio in clips played back. It would be very convenient to be able to monitor the audio while selecting cameras in grid view. I have a new install with 8 cameras all with sound, have had no issue setting t...

Migrating to a new computer.

Hello; I am currently using the free trial Pro version on my personal iMAC and have decided to purchase. I have ordered a new dedicated iMac to run the system on, is there a way to migrate Sighthound, or all of the preferences to the new computer without having to go thru the entire setup and config...
