VSH Ver6 not deleting clips

Seems I can't delete clips in ver 6, SH hangs with a freeze and I have to force quit. tried both options with same results, sent crash report to SH and Apple, had no issue deleting clips in Ver 5.

Re: CPU and GPU usage

I was running 80% on ver5 with 9 cameras on a iMac i5, ver 6 has maxed out the cpu, and sill getting about the same amount of false alerts, so I don't see a lot of improvement in that area at all. So no adding more cameras unless I want to pay for a new computer system.

Version 6 impressions

So, I have been on version 6 for a week or so and am underwhelmed so far. My CPU usage with 9 cameras has gone from 75% on ver 5 to 100% on ver 6, so no adding another camera without purchasing a new computer. (I am using a dedicated Apple iMac I5) Ver 6 is still triggering on car lights at night, a...

Re: Follow a build from barebones to final install

Interesting, my 9 cam system is spec'ed lower but works fine. I did use SSD's for system as well as data storage due to the increased clip search time with 3-5K clips a day. Really looking forward to SH6.0 but not until they get all of the bugs worked out. I will follow your progress.

How many cameras?

How many cameras can I expect to connect to one host? I am currently running the system on a dedicated iMac 2.5GHz i5 with 12 GB RAM and a 2TB SSD with 9 Reolink cameras @ 1080P and 5 FPS on the monitor. My only issue is constant re-connects of the monitored video stream, doesn't seem to affect reco...

Re: No updates, no support

I for one will welcome with open arms better people recognition as I have 9 cameras and live on a busy corner. On any given day I can have 3-5K motion clips (cars, people, dogs, squirrels, birds, wind in the trees, ect....) so 'looking thru them' is not an option. Better detection of people will be ...

Remote login not working.

I haven't been able to do a remote login for the last couple of days, is there a system issue? IP and port forwarding are good, worked fine for the last few months and no system changes.

Re: How many cameras??

Kevin, storage is not a problem as I utilize a 16TB server via direct network connection. I don't normally need the 4K resolution and most cameras are at 1080P, I just installed the tenth camera and all are working well with no drop outs. I may just get another iMAC for the rest as it is cheaper (re...

How many cameras??

I am running a dedicated iMAC 2.5 GHz quad-core i5 with 12GB RAM and a 256GB SSD.(FTP clip storage) I have 9 cameras using about 75% CPU, memory pressure is low with no page swapping. My question is how many more cameras can I realistically add? My plans call for 16 total but I don't think the i5 is...

Re: What is new in 5.1.7?

WOW! You guys have really sped up the indexing and retrieval of clips, the search function with my SSD is now almost instant, great job! The slow search and retrieval was one of my biggest issues.
