Re: Sighthound Video 7 BETA 1 is released

The latest BETA release (12/28/20) will not launch at all on my iMac running High Sierra, previous Beta works fine but with the normal issues of identifying car lights as just about everything (people, animals ect).

Just get the SOUND working on Preview!

Are you ever going to get the sound working on the Grid view. I have free software that has this. I hate having to export a clip just to hear the sound. I was hoping the ver 7 update would have this fixed, but no, still no sound on a selected camera in either camera or grid view. So if I want 2-way ...

Re: Sighthound Video 7 BETA 1 is released

Not sure where you want bug reports, but on my iMac running High Sierra, 2,5 GHz with 16GB RAM I keep getting a 'Sighthound Video closed unexpectedly' error after about 20-30 minutes or so. Thing is the program did not close and as far as I can determine was still running fine. I will attach the cra...

Re: Sighthound Video 7 BETA 1 is released

Well, all I can say is THANK YOU, I was faced with getting a newer computer or moving on to Xeoma. My older iMAC was dropping camera connections and running at close to 100% of CPU on 6.1. After installing the BETA7 it dropped to 70% and has stopped dropping connections!!

Re: Enough is enough

I think my issue it the graphics card, it is a older AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB card, I don't think it can handle the video bandwidth. I really don't want to drop a bunch of money on a new computer. I am testing Xeoma and it handles all 9 camera's live preview with a 35% CPU load without issue, but ...

Enough is enough

Have been using this for a couple of years and still lots of issues. Running on a dedicated iMAC quad core i5 and it Boggs down at 9 cameras with 100% cpu use, all cameras shut off at random times and I have to reboot to get them back. 'People' detection is a joke as almost every car at night or day...

Do I need a newer MAC??

Hello All, I have been running SHV for two years and decided to add more cameras. I am running SHV 6 on a dedicated iMAC 2.4Ghz quad core i5 with plenty of memory, only software on the system running. When I added the 8th camera (all 1080p) I started getting video drop outs on differnt cameras, vide...

Re: Room for improvement (I hope the SH staff reads this)

I agree with all of these points, especially the 500 clips of cars going by that clog up my HD for 72 hours. The only other thing I REALLY miss is H-265 support, all of my cameras support H265 but I have to use the older legacy H264, which uses twice the bandwidth. I have 9 cameras on a dedicated iM...

Re: Email delay

Same issue here, some notices delayed up to a hour, never had the issue on v5 and no equipment or provider changes, so it HAS to be a bug in v6, Sighthound explanations not withstanding. I am using POP mail via iCloud which for everything else is push. It does me no good to have security system that...
