Re: Looking for video between clips, not saving everything?

...you are correct sir - I was not thinking strait in my fit of rage after what I just witnessed happen on video. Thank you - great software as always, I recommend it often!

Re: Looking for video between clips, not saving everything?

"Make sure you have a single camera selected in the search view"

...that's the step I was missing - I found the cached video "between the clips"

Thanks a ton!

Looking for video between clips, not saving everything?

I have a problem with one VDV instance whereby I have it set to use 1000GB and save for 15days, yet, I can't see the video "between" clips from something that happened just yesterday. Also, it doesn't seem to ever use more than about 285GB of hard disk space? Suggestions? v1.4.3 b6238 Anyw...

Re: Vitamin filling up my C drive.

Path is always c:\users\admin\appdata\local\temp\tmp*****sessions\*.* containing folders are always... ..\session.1.local_bundle\session_resources\*.* ..\session...

Re: Small screen

There once was a software called sDesk that allows the screen resolution to be set a little larger than the hardware actually supports. IMHO this is a real hack, but if you're out of options have a go, this is the best reference I could find: http://stackoverflow.com/a/2009431 There is also this way...

Re: Script Disabling of video and alerts

I handle this a little differently, in my case I leave the rule in there which always runs a script (cam2detect.bat), but drop or delete another file (on.txt) to control whether the script continues execution or not. For example... --------------------------------------------------------------------...

Axis 241Q (quad stream) self-inflicted problem

Note/warning to others on how NOT to do it... I was using "Other Axis device" along with this custom URL: http://[device_IP]/mjpg/quad/video.mjpg ...to record all 4 analog cameras connected to a Axis 241Q device as 1 "camera" in VDV. From the VDV software it worked, and detected ...

Re: Why Bother

Plus, I've not heard any horrible stories of show-stopper bugs in the current version. It's good software. The best motion-detection technology that I've tried yet. I second this comment - I love VDV over all the others! To the rest of you - the only way to support the developer is to implement it ...
